Who Are You?
CSI used to be one of my FAVORITE shows and this song "Who Are You?" (who, who, whoooo are you) will always make me think of the opening credits of the original CSI, Las Vegas.
Several times in the last few weeks I've been prompted to describe myself and I've struggled to find the right words (those of you who know me know that I RARELY struggle for words). :) How do you define yourself? Is describing yourself the same as defining yourself?
Are you defined by who you are to other people? I am a daughter, sister, best friend, confidant and proud member of SP nation. <3
Are you defined by the adjectives people associate with you? In that case I am a sparkly, gregarious, thoughtful, sarcastic sweetheart. But I'm also a princess who wants her own way (#princessSam) and I can be bossy and melodramatic depending on the circumstance.
What about your outlook on life? I am glass-half-full optimism all the way with a TEENY bit of logic thrown in for good measure. I am relationship person (I once took a personality test at work for a class and I was 100% relationship, 0 logic. Ha!).
Are you defined by your job? I am a project manager, wrangler of cats, Jill-of-all-trades. I have been with my company in a variety of different roles for 13 years which makes the the resident go-to person for a myriad of things (many of which were never my job). I thrive on that busyness problem-solving. I am also an excellent work wife! ;)
Perhaps you are defined by what you love? Coffee, conversation, aimless drives, ocean waves, crime shows, 90's music, baking new creations, hoodies, yoga, eating at exciting restaurants (total wanna be foodie) and kickass sweaty workouts. <3
Or what you hate? Mayo, sushi, negative people, close talkers, not getting my own way, people who write u and 2, people who create traffic jams and math.
You could also be defined by your preferences..... hugs > handshakes, in person communication > phone, phone > text message, text message > email, honesty > sugar-coating, TV shows > movies, cocktails > wine or beer, yoga pants > dressy pants, books> magazines, staying up late > going to be early....
Of course there's always what you look like - 5'4", "full-figured" (I hate that term) but curvy, hazel eyes, kissy lips, ghetto booty, messy bun, glasses (65% of the time), minimal makeup.
Do any of these things really describe me? Do you have a picture in your mind of who I am just from reading these? I'm not so sure.
Who are you? How do you describe yourself? I'm curious to hear the answers!
